Ted Huber
Born in Starlight, IN, Ted Huber represents the sixth generation of this family still living and working on their farm. In 1843, Simon Huber from Baden Baden Germany settled the land where Huber’s Orchard, Winery, & Vineyards resides today. Huber holds the position of President and co-owns the business with his first cousin Greg Huber.
Huber is a graduate of Providence High School and attended many short courses and instructional courses on winemaking at Purdue University, Ohio State, and Michigan. Huber has been actively involved with many state universities and assists with wine judging in several national wine competitions. Huber is head winemaker and master distiller of Huber Winery and the Starlight Distillery and when not working at Huber’s he is active as vice president of the American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA) and serves for the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States as the chairman of the Small Distiller’s Group.
Huber is married to Dana and has two sons – Christian and Blake.
