Nigel Smith
Nigel Smith is a passionate and visionary leader with expertise in strategy development, business development and innovation in a wide variety of industry sectors. One of his super powers is architecting the value exchange between disparate stakeholders for the creation of opportunities.
As President of Zurena LLC, he leads strategy development, innovation, operations., and business development/ sales in all channels.
Nigel also sits on the Board of Directors of TATIL and Tatil Life Assurance Limited, two insurance companies headquartered in Trinidad & Tobago. Prior work experiences include strategy and innovation roles at AARP, Visa USA, McKinsey & Company, Goldman Sachs Group and KPMG.
Nigel is a graduate of Leadership Maryland and holds a MBA from Stanford University, a Certification in Leading Innovation Change from UC Berkeley, and a BBA from Howard University. His life purpose is to uplift spirits and he volunteers with multiple organizations, including the Trinidad & Tobago Diaspora Association Network, Stanford GSB Alumni Association and St. Mary’s College Alumni Association. Zurena LLC also sponsors numerous health and wellness initiatives each year.
Nigel resides in Silver Spring, MD with his wife, two daughters, Mom and Mother-in-Law. His favorite cocktail is a Ginsu – 1 part Gin + 2 parts Zurena served as a martini.
