Gregory Hall
Gregory Hall is the Founder of Virtue Cider in Fennville, Michigan. Virtue Cider is a Michigan-based craft cider company that uses our expertise in modern craft fermentation and aging techniques to produce ciders that embody old world farmhouse styles. We partner with local family-run farms to find heirloom apples for our cider.
Hall’s father John Hall opened Goose Island in 1988, and soon Hall became one of the country’s most innovative craft brewers. Hall served as Brewmaster at Goose Island from 1991 until 2011, stepping down to start Virtue Cider. Hall maintains his ties to Goose Island as an Advisor.
Hall is a long-time supporter Chicago food community and many local organizations such as Slow Food Chicago and Chicago’s Green City Market. He is an avid cyclist and splits time between Fennville and Chicago with his two children – Sofie and Henry.
