Quinton Jay
Quinton Jay, a Managing Director of Bacchus Capital, has over 20 years of experience running both boutique artisanal and well-known wineries. A long term strategic consultant in the wine and finance arenas, he has helped shape many wine ventures in the Napa and Sonoma environs. At Bacchus, Jay primarily works with the sales, operations and marketing teams of the Fund’s Wine by Joe / Dobbes Family Estate, Panther Creek and Madrigal wineries. He also plays a significant role in Bacchus’ marketing and business development.
Prior to joining Bacchus in 2009, Jay was Vice President, General Manager of Artesa Vineyards and Winery, managing all aspects of the 100,000 case ultra-premium brand. Previously, he was Managing Director of Bacchus Consulting Group, an independent winery consulting firm he founded in 2001, whose major clients included Beringer Blass Wines and Estates, Etude, Quintessa and Geyser Peak Wines. Prior to Bacchus Consulting, Jay was General Manager of Bonny Doon Vineyard.
Jay began his career in the beverage industry in brand management and strategic planning at Coca-Cola following his position as Associate Vice President in the corporate finance and investment banking division of Bank of America. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Long Beach and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
