Sharon Gowan
Gowan serves as the President of the California Cider Association. As Vice President of California Cider House LLC, which launched the Gowan Cider brand in 2015, Gowan serves as Cidermaker and Marketer, and holds the National Association of Cider Makers certificate. California Cider House also serves craft cider and craft distilleries, as well as the fresh apple market, which supplies organic and conventional apples, as well as pressing services, from the Gowan Orchards’ 138-year-old heritage family farms in Mendocino. In 2014 Gowan headed a committee to found the first ever California Cider Competition. Gowan is a media and marketing veteran with more than 23 years of experience as the founder and publisher/editor of Family Life, a national award-winning lifestyle publishing company in the San Francisco Bay Area. She currently serves on the board for the international Parenting Media Association, chairing the Associate Memberships Committee and serving on the Education/Technology Committee. Gowan graduated with a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering, Cal Poly.
